Trilogy® lenses are now available in FT35 and 7x28

Younger Optics now offers two new segmented multi-focal flat-top lenses in Trilogy® material. This means that more of your flat-top wearers can experience the great balance of great optics, safety and light weight that Trilogy lenses offer. Trilogy lenses are extremely impact resistant. Many Optometrists recommend lenses made of Trilogy material as an alternative to polycarbonate, especially to patients who are looking for less chromatic aberration. Trilogy lenses are thin and lightweight, which make them a great choice for rimless frames. Trilogy lenses naturally block all UVA/UVB, even without added coatings. Trilogy multifocal lenses are now available in the following flat-top styles:

  • Trilogy FT28 bifocal lenses in clear
  • Trilogy FT28 bifocal lenses in Transitions® Signature®, gray or brown
  • Trilogy FT35 bifocal lenses in clear
  • Trilogy 7x28 trifocal lenses in clear

Trilogy multi-focal lenses are available to optical laboratories directly from Younger Optics. Eye care practices can order these lenses through their optical labs.

Younger's UV420 lenses available now in Camber Polycarbonate

What are "UV420" lenses? Younger Optics' UV420 lenses are clear lenses that block 100% of UVA/UVB and attenuate 80% high-energy visible light (HEV) at 420nm. Blue-light blocking lenses have been in high-demand in recent years, so Younger continues to expand this offering. Just added: Camber lens blanks in clear UV420 polycarbonate, available July 14 to all Camber-approved optical labs. Younger's UV420 lenses are also available in the following materials:

  • SFSV High Index 1.60 Clear, Uncoated & Hardcoated
  • SFSV High Index 1.67 Clear, Uncoated & Hardcoated
  • SFSV High Index 1.74 Clear, Uncoated & Hardcoated
  • SF Camber Polycarbonate Clear
  • SF Camber High Index 1.60 Clear
  • SF Camber High Index 1.67 Clear
  • SF Camber High Index 1.74 Clear

The HEV filter is "in-mass," not a surface coating. This means that the lens does not have a visible blue reflection, and scratches to the surface will not degrade the lens' ability to filter HEV. Once finished, the lens does not have an unattractive yellow hue and does not interfere with normal color perception.

Transitions® Drivewear® polarized lenses now available in High Index 1.67

Transitions® Drivewear® lenses, the only polarized sunwear lenses that change color and darkness behind the windshield, are now available in high-index 1.67 material. “The industry has been patiently awaiting an extension of the best driving lens available, and we are excited to announce it is finally here,” said David Rips, President and CEO of Younger Optics, manufacturer of Transitions Drivewear lenses. Now drivers with higher prescriptions can experience the most dynamic and essential driving lens with thinner, more attractive lenses and a wider selection of frames.

NuPolar® Mirrors now available in Polycarbonate

By popular demand, NuPolar polarized Rx lenses are now available with three popular and fashionable mirrorcoats in polycarbonate and hard resin. The mirrorcoating is applied to the semi-finished lens at the factory, rather than at the lab. This means one less step at the lab, which leads to faster turnaround for everyone involved. Eye care practices may order silver, gold, and blue NuPolar® Mirror lenses through optical laboratories in the US, Canada, and Latin America.

Transitions® XTRActive® new generation lenses

Now with faster activation and faster fadeback, Transitions® XTRActive® new generation lenses are available immediately from Younger Optics in gray & brown in hard resin, polycarbonate, high index 1.67, high index 1.74, and Trilogy® materials. Eye care practices may order Transitions® XTRActive® new generation lenses through optical laboratories in the US, Canada, and Latin America.

Transitions® XTRActive® Polarized™ lenses

Transitions® XTRActive® Polarized lenses start clear indoors, darken moderately in the car, and achieve extra darkness and become polarized outdoors in the sun.
The lenses dynamically polarize in direct sunlight, bringing bright, vivid colors, sharper vision, and significant glare reduction. Transitions® XTRActive® Polarized lenses are now available in gray in hard resin, polycarbonate, and high index 1.67 materials through all laboratories.
